Hello wonderful family and friends!!
This week was terrific!
Last Monday we went to the City Museum! It’s the giant adult playground. We
had a blast! We went down a 10 story slide and got lost in the tunnels. 🙂
On Monday evening, we helped a less active pack for her move this weekend.
We also had a great lesson with her. She is super spunky and fun. She has
the cutest dog! Her name is Love and loves to cuddle. On our way home that
night, we drove past a small field and saw the COOLEST THING!! We pulled
over, there were thousands of fireflies going off all at once! It was
amazing! I’ve never seen anything like it! Missouri is awesome.
Tuesday was great too! So, last week we had a famine of having no
investigators. We did so much finding with no success. This week, on
Tuesday we were blessed for our efforts! We found two new investigators and
some super solid potentials!! 🙂 #TenderMercies One of our new
investigators is from a part member family. Her name is Patty. She’s been
taught by missionaries before and says she’ll “never convert” but both
Sister Lyons and I feel good about teaching her still. They are a sweet
family. Actually, they are the parents of our ward mission leader! We also
found a girl named Nikki. She was tired of religions telling her what to
do. We talked about how she could find out for herself if the Book of
Mormon and what we teach is true and she loved that! She is so ready for
the gospel! 🙂
We tried to get creative with finding this week. We went to a park and drew
the Plan of Salvation in chalk and talked to people about it as they walked
passed. It was great! There were a few people who were sort of interested.
It was fun nonetheless. 🙂
We had some great less active lessons too! Christina did the coolest thing.
She committed herself to read the scriptures every day!! I love it when
less actives come to church. It’s such a big step in their progression and
they are able to renew that covenant.
We also had Temple Ground Tours again!! It was so amazing!!! We had some
less actives and recent converts come. 🙂 A lady in our ward is engaged to
a non member. They both came to the tour and loved it! We were able to give
them a personal tour because they came a bit early. When we took them into
the foyer, Doris felt the spirit so strong! She is so excited to work
towards the temple. 🙂 Lynn and Abby, recent convert less actives, came as
well! The Elders are working with them too. Lynn hasn’t been to church in a
couple months and Abby works on Sundays now. They both came!! Us and the
Elders about died out of happiness! Kaite and Ryan also came. Kaite brought
a friend from work. Her name is Hannah and she LOVED the temple!! We
invited her to learn more and meet with the missionaries and she said YES!
Only thing is.. she’s not in our ward. 😦 But the Webster Groves
missionaries will teach her. These temple tours bring miracles! 🙂
I read Alma 5 in my studies this morning. It’s one of my favorite chapters
in the Book of Mormon. My favorite verse from this chapter is verse 26 “And
now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, if ye have experienced a change of
heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask,
can ye feel so now?” This has grown to mean a lot to me. IT IS POSSIBLE to
feel so now. We all go through spiritual highs and lows in life but we are
entitled to feel God’s love and the blessings of the gospel! He wants us to
feel it! It’s a great question to ask yourself, can ye feel so now?
Evaluate your testimony, see what you need to improve and strengthen it.
The gospel has SO MANY BLESSINGS!! It brings me so much joy! I love being a
missionary and sharing that with people! 🙂 It’s the greatest.
Thank you all for your love and support! I love you! Have a great week!
Don’t forget to pray! 🙂
Plan of Salvation at the park!
Temple Grounds Tours! Don’t mind our sweatyness and crazy hair. It was a
long day. 🙂
