Wonderful family and friends! I love you all!
This week was good. It was long, but it was good. 🙂 So many miracles!
So we had some pretty great lessons this week!
Ok, first of all. Kate. Kate is the greatest person ever!! We had a couple lessons with her this week. She talked to her family and is moving forward with baptism! She told us she wants to get baptized as soon as possible…. Ok, if you insist! haha! She’s been waiting for this for so long! She is getting baptized May 21. 🙂 She is the most golden investigator I’ve ever met. She already has a rock solid testimony. 🙂 I love her so much. She came to the baptism of a convert in the Webster Groves ward and loved it! She just is always happy, even through all the trials in her life. 🙂
We also met a less active named Moose (Well, her name is Hannah but she goes by Moose) and her boyfriend Dave. Dave was a former investigator and he wants to learn again! He said this time he is ready to make changes in his life. We are excited to teach both of them! We asked Moose how she got her nickname, she told us she took down a 300lb man. We were both super surprised because she is tiny! haha She’s such a boss. And she is a welder.
We had a lesson with Carol this week. She’s the less active with all the birds. She’s so great! Ah! I love her! We taught her the restoration and got to know her more. She has so much potential and is such a wonderful daughter of God. 🙂 While we were there, one of her birds got loose so we tried to catch it for a while. Then it went under the desk and she told us he’d come out on his own after a while. 🙂 Birds are fun.
I now know what tornado sirens sound like! There were a couple storms this week. A pretty good one on Saturday. People keep saying “you know there’s a tornado coming if the sky is green and purple” I didn’t know the sky could actually be green! It’s a weird color. It wasn’t even a bad storm. Just some wind, hail, rain and lightning. We were told to go home a bit early that day. When we got home, we heard the sirens go off a couple times. Just the warning ones. There was no actual tornado. Nobody panic, we are still alive.
Sister Lyons is awesome. I love being her trainer. I swear she came pre-trained. 🙂 She’s deathly afraid of flying bugs. We’re entering in to mosquito season… She makes me kill ALL of them while she stands on the other side of the room freaking out. Haha it’s great. #CompsTakeCareOfEachOther
The rest of the week was amazing. We did some finding and tried a bunch of less actives that the ward doesn’t know who they are. Found some great people to teach! I like teaching less actives. It’s different than teaching investigators. Most of them already have a testimony it’s just buried and you have to help them find it. We do that by teaching them the basics, the gospel of Jesus Christ. Faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. The gospel is so beautifully simple and so powerful. I know the gospel is true and that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are real. They know us and love us. 🙂
I hope you have a wonderful week! I love you all! Thank you for everything!
This is how we did our 12 Week study on Tuesday. We like watching storms. 🙂
