Family and friends! You all are so great. Man, I love you all!
We had such a good week! We met some super awesome people and had some great lessons.
On Monday for P-day, we went to the Gateway Arch. That’s a very cool structure. Cool angles.
We also got to tour the Cathedral Basilica. It’s a very cool Catholic cathedral. It was interesting to learn more about Catholicism.
It’s cool being in St. Louis, there are lots of things to do for P-day!!
We had some great lessons! HEATHER ACCEPTED THE INVITATION TO BE BAPTIZED!!!!!!! Super stoked about that! She is praying about a date to be baptized on. 🙂 So happy for her!
Yesterday we had someone show up for church that we’d never met before. He said he’d been taught by missionaries before and is ready to take the lessons and commit! Cowboy Ricky. That’s his name. He’s like 8 feet tall and has a cowboy hat. SO COOL! We also got a ton of super solid referrals this week! We have lessons set with several of them. Lot’s of miracles this week.
We also got to go to Washington ward so Sister Day could go to a baptism of a girl she taught. That was cool. Baptism is such an amazing thing. Kathy is a spiritual giant. at 9 years old! 🙂 While we were there, we met some less active YSAs and invited them to come to the branch. Guess what? One of them did!!! Super happy.
This week was great. Many miracles happened and life is good.
We got transfer calls this week and both Sister Day and I are staying in the St. Louis YSA! Yay!!! I’m really happy about that. This transfer is a 7 week transfer.
This week Sister Day and I have been studying about the Atonement in our comp study. The Atonement is such a blessing and we can never comprehend how much it entails. One of my favorite scriptures that we read/studied this week was Alma 7:11-13.
11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.13 Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me.
I want to testify of the enabling power of the Atonement. It is through Jesus Christ that we can be lifted up and strengthened through any trial and any affliction. He loves us and our Heavenly Father loves us. They know us and just what we need. He answers our prayers always. Not always in the way or the time we expect it. Sometimes He expects us and trusts us to make our own decisions. The Holy Ghost will confirm those decisions. I know this is the true and restored church of Jesus Christ. I am so blessed. So so blessed I can’t even describe all the blessings!!
I love you all so much! Thanks for everything!! Have a wonderful week!
