Monday was great! We got to help the Mills put together their Christmas goodies for the ward party. The Mills are seriously the greatest people in the world. I love them very much. 🙂
We also talked about surviving vs thriving. We need to THRIVE in the gospel, not just survive.
Wednesday was great too. We had some good lessons then we had the ward Christmas party. It was great. I love this ward so much! The food was great, the company was better. We gave Santa a Book of Mormon and he’s pretty much converted now. 😉
Thursday was good. We had some good lessons with some less active members and did some tracting. Pretty much our entire teaching pool is sick so most of our appointments for the week fell through but they are ALL getting better. 🙂
Friday was great. We had dinner with Steve (our recent convert) and his family. They are the coolest people ever.
Saturday was good too. We found a family to teach! They are super religious and are currently looking for a church! We told them about the Book of Mormon and the 16 year old granddaughter was super interested! I am excited to teach them! 🙂
Sunday was awesome! All 4 of the missionaries in our ward gave talks. I gave mine about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. All the talks were about Christ. Because #CHRISTmas. 🙂 We picked up a wonderful former investigator named Grandma Linda. She is the sweetest person you could meet. and Rosie. Oh man. Rosie is AWESOME! We finally got her a large print Book of Mormon. We came for our lesson yesterday and she told us about her experience. She had prayed before she read asking the Lord to speak to her through this book. She opened it and read about what she’d been praying about. BAPTISM! She said “What that’s weird” then she did it again and guess what the next verse she read was about? BAPTISM!!!! She said, “alright Lord, I guess I gotta get baptized” …… We internally freaked out. So Rosie is praying about a date to be baptized on. And hopefully all 50 of her grandchildren will follow! Seriously we meet a new grandchild every time we go over there! 🙂 Oh man, I love being a missionary!
So that was this week. Many wonderful things happened! The gospel brings true and lasting happiness. Don’t take if for granted!
I love you ALL very much! Thank you for you love and support. You are wonderful!
